Eurocraft Eco-Star has been providing windows and doors in Florida’s sub-tropical climate for over 20 years. It’s not uncommon for the temperature here to range from the low twenties during winter months, to above one hundred in the summer. Our customers have found that our products stand up to the temperatures shifts, as well as high winds and corrosive salt air. Our windows have been sold throughout the southeastern United States as well as in the Caribbean.

Our Mission is simple: to provide architects, developers, builders and home owners with the best possible product - whether that be new construction or renovation. To find out more about Eurocraft EcoStar, please view the video.

Hans Severin opened the doors for Eurocraft Home Improvement, Inc. in 1979 on Long Island New York. When it wasn’t too cold outside, he sold and installed high quality German windows, doors and shutters. During the winter, he concentrated his business on interior remodeling work. In 1994, Hans retired to Apollo Beach, Florida in the Tampa Bay area. Needing something to keep him busy, he took on the job of Troubleshooter for Roll-a-Way Storm and Security Shutters. During his time at Roll-a-Way, he frequently found that home and condo owners had “fifty dollar windows” installed on million dollar homes and condos. It’s no wonder they needed expensive shutters - the windows weren’t doing their job in the first place.

With Florida’s year round warm weather and his vast experience with German-engineered tilt and turn window and door systems, Hans decided the Tampa Bay area would be an ideal location to establish a new high-quality window company and he soon did under the name of Eurocraft Industries.

The windows he sells are designed to be tough enough to withstand the yearly onslaught of hurricanes and tropical storms Florida experiences annually. “I’m positive our windows are strong and water-tight enough that they’ll withstand even highest winds and blowing rain we see here in Florida. We’ve tested our windows for large missle impacts and passed the toughest standards in the country, getting our Florida impact product approval. So we know they’re strong.”

In 1979, a young Robert Mitteregger moved to the United States with his mother, who later married Hans Severin. Robert attended high school in Massapequa, Long Island and college at Nassau County Community College and Brockport State University. He then moved to Florida to be nearer to his family. Robert had learned the trade of installing windows while working with Hans. Like Hans, Robert went to work for Roll-a-Way, where he enjoyed ten years as a shutter installation specialist and project manager. A valuable employee, Robert was named project manager for some of Roll-a-Way’s highest profile jobs including: the Broward Hospital, the All Children’s Hospital and various highrise condo projects in Naples, Florida. In 2006 Robert joined Hans at Eurocraft Industries and in 2007 they began manufacturing their own windows.

Robert now specializes in the art of window and door design, creating beautiful custom entries for ecostar customers. He's also very busy with the day-to-day management of Eurocraft Industries, specificing materials and performing quality checks. It's not unusual to see him on the job site monitoring the installation of their products.

Like his father, Robert is committed to providing the very best in window and doors for thier customers. In most cases, he'll follow the project every step of the way from ordering materials right thru to installation.

The craftsmanship seen in every Eco-star window and door begins with a philosophy of doing things right the first time. Robert and Hans have always believed that to build the best windows, they first had to start with the best raw materials. After a worldwide search, they chose to establish a relationship with Kommerling, the best-known name in PVC industry. The same goes for their hardware. It’s specifically designed to resist corrosive salt spray and erosive pool chemicals typically found near homes in Florida.
